Energy Efficient

Energy Efficient

Because of the way they are designed, LED light bulbs typically are about  80% efficient. This means that 20% of the electrical energy is lost in the form of heat energy while 80% is converted to electrical energy. These figures are in stark comparison to a traditional incandescent light bulb whose energy efficiency is the reverse. About 80% of the incandescent light bulb’s energy is lost to heat and 20% is used for electrical energy.
